We work to make climate finance more inclusive, gender responsive and accessible to the communities most affected by climate change. GREEN SMEs strengthens women’s understanding and participation in climate finance processes, generates evidence on gender responsive investment needs, and supports dialogue between communities, civil society and public institutions.
Project and Partners
- MoFPED / climate finance technical assistance 2025 onward: Scoping and gap assessment on integrating gender considerations into climate finance mobilization and supporting government MDAs to better incorporate gender and climate considerations into investment planning.
- Gender and climate finance gap studies: Approximately 102 respondents engaged in emerging evidence work examining institutional and capacity gaps related to gender responsive climate finance.
- AFD linked technical support: Emerging work supporting the intersection between gender considerations and climate finance mobilization.
Women strengthened their capacity to participate in agribusiness, sustainable enterprises and income-generating opportunities.
Women gained greater knowledge of land rights, strengthening their confidence to protect and use productive resources.
Women strengthened knowledge and practices in agroecology, safer farming and environmentally responsible agricultural production.
Women and community resource persons gained capacity to advocate for their priorities and participate in community decision making.
Sustainable agriculture and livelihood interventions helped women strengthen their ability to respond to environmental and economic pressures.
Women’s priorities were connected with government, civil society and other stakeholders through advocacy, capacity building and structured engagement.
