Promoting Climate and Economic resilience for women
GREEN SMEs is a Ugandan non-profit organisation established in 2021 to promote sustainable livelihoods, women’s economic and land rights, climate resilience and inclusive green development.
Our approach combines community capacity building, agroecology, advocacy, research, stakeholder engagement and institutional partnerships.
We work from the understanding that environmental sustainability and economic justice are interconnected. Communities are more likely to invest in sustainable land management and climate resilience when they have secure access to productive resources, economic opportunities, knowledge and meaningful participation in decisions affecting them.
